Empty your mind, then sleep

When you find it hard to sleep at night, do something; activate. Let’s say your mind is churning away on some idea. You are worrying about an issue. Or your head is just noisy and cannot calm down. Get writing. Find pen and paper, or get your laptop. Whatever your preferred method for journaling. And then write. Whatever comes to mind. Empty your mind and jot down every piece of thought. Emptying your mind is a sure way to calm down. An overly active mind can’t rest. A mind that is emptied out will be calm and you will be able to sleep. Never mind the quality of writing. Don’t worry about the content, just write.
